Labor’s Shadow Infrastructure Minister, Craig Farrell today accused the Liberal Government of never intending to honour its promise of a four-lane Midland Highway.
“The construction of a four-lane highway has gone from a rolled gold election promise to a plan somewhere in the never never,” Mr Farrell said.
“The staged upgrades of the Midland Highway are nothing more than a continuation of the work already being done.
“That is a far cry from what the Liberals promised.
“The Liberals have no shame when it comes to breaking its election commitments.
“It is clear they now have absolutely no intention of sticking to their word to build a four lane Midland Highway.
“All the hype the Liberals created around a four lane Midland Highway was nothing more than a con.”
