Entries in the 2015 Cradle Coast WIN TV Regional Tourism Awards are open …
Entries in the 2015 Cradle Coast WIN TV Regional Tourism Awards, managed by the Cradle Coast Authority are now open.
Entries close on 31 May with full nominations due by 5pm on 19 June.
The award winners will be announced at the Cradle Coast Regional Tourism Forum held in Queenstown on 30 July.
Councillor and prominent community leader Leigh Styles encouraged West Coast businesses to enter the awards.
“The awards are a fantastic opportunity to showcase the wealth and quality of experiences that we have on the West Coast to the rest of the state” said Councillor Styles.
“The award winners are announced in Queenstown on July 30 – I would love to see as many West Coast businesses nominated for and taking out awards” said Councillor Styles, stressing the high quality of local West Coast tourism businesses.

The West Coast of Tasmania is Australia’s 5th most tourism dependent region with tourism accounting for a large proportion of jobs on the West Coast.
Tourism on the West Coast is seasonal with many businesses doing it tough over the winter period.
Councillor Styles congratulated ‘King River Rafting’ on their new adventure tourism business that started operation late in 2014.
“Businesses such as King River Rafting are offering a new kind of tourism experience on the West Coast and working alongside existing tourism businesses to help grow tourism in the region”.
