Away from the madding crowd
The theme for the TFGA pavilion at this year’s Agfest is a combination of ideas: a common room, an oasis, a refuge, a port in the storm.
To call it an oasis at an event like Agfest may be gilding the lily but you get the picture.
Agfest runs from Thursday, May 7 to Saturday, May 9.
There is a new location this year, 811 Eighth Avenue, next to DPIPWE, and again it is going to be the place to duck into, put your bags down, slip into a seat, have a coffee, relax and talk farming.
However, the madding crowd will be just outside the tent and free to enter as well.
The TFGA is proudly hosting:
its business partners, the ANZ Bank, WFI, KPMG, AustSafe Super and Agility Logistics;
Sheep Connect, AWI’s key investment in extension for the Tasmanian sheep and wool industries;
Tasmanian Irrigation, the people who are growing the wealth of the state through their irrigation schemes;
SFM Forest Products, the leading provider of independent certified forest management and forest consulting across Australia;
Australian Veterinary Association;
Private Forests Tasmania;
Harvest Labour Services, linking job seekers with harvest jobs Australia-wide;
Forico, the investment manager offering leading-edge strategies in forestry;

There will also be information regarding Dial Before You Dig within the site.
