Petition with significant public support from Tasmanian girl Sherroy Archie
We have a petition with significant public support from Tasmanian girl Sherroy Archie desperate to get MAIB to approve her father’s life saving surgery.
Her father was in a freak car accident where a tree fell onto his car about one-and-a-half years ago. As a result he has become virtually disabled and is at high risk of being permanently paralysed or even death if he doesn’t receive the surgery immediately.
MAIB managed to dig up records of his pre-existing back condition, and are arguing his need for surgery is related to that and not the fractured neck he struggles with as a result of the accident. Countless surgeons and medical professionals argue this is completely wrong and there is an urgency to act.

Over 31,500 signatures organically – local Tassie support for her plea.
If they don’t get the claim approved – they will need to sell the family home to pay for the surgery.
