Senators to launch Private Members’ Bill on Seafood Labelling

Greens spokesperson for Fisheries, Senator Peter Whish-Wilson will today join with Senators Xenophon, Lambie, Wang and Lazarus to launch a Private Members Bill to ensure country-of-origin labelling is applied to seafood sold in restaurants and fish and chip shops.

What: Media conference (plus Australian Barramundi and chips) on the Food Standards Amendment (Fish Labelling) Bill, being introduced into the Senate today
Who: Senators Nick Xenophon, Peter Whish-Wilson, John Madigan, Glenn Lazarus, Jacqui Lambie and Dio Wang as well as

Mr Bob Richards, Managing Director Humpty Doo Barramundi Pty Ltd
