NAB survey shows employment expectations up, business confidence and business conditions the best in the nation

The NAB Business Survey released today provides further encouraging news on our economy.

This report shows that while there is still a long way to go, under our long-term Plan, Tasmania is heading in the right direction.

The report shows that Tasmanian business confidence and business conditions are the highest in the country.

What’s also encouraging is that it shows business employment expectations are increasing. Boosting the number of Tasmanians with jobs is this Government’s number one priority. We are rolling out our long-term Plan and so far since the election, 7,000 new jobs have been created.

We are working to grow the economy and build confidence across all sectors of the economy.

We are seeing this pay dividends in sectors such as tourism and primary industries as well as construction and retail trade which are both performing strongly.
