Budget Update: AEU statement
Roz Madsen, AEU Tasmanian Branch State Manager, said:
“Will Hodgman’s Government appears on track to implement in full its broken promises on education as it sacks teachers, swells class sizes and cuts vital literacy and numeracy support.”
“Before the election Will Hodgman made iron-clad promises to invest in education and to not to sack teachers but he has broken that promise.
“Today was an opportunity to announce a change of track and put back into schools the teachers and resources that our students need and were promised but he failed to show leadership.”
