This is a fun (and free!) Come and Try event organised by Bicycle Network Tasmania.
The e-Bike Rally starts at 11am in Bellerive Regional Park, Saturday Feb 28. Bellerive Regional Park is the park just behind the Bellerive Oval grandstand. Three roads – Derwent St, Queen St & Victoria Esplanade – converge there.
A number of E-bike vendors will be offering riders the opportunity to try out a range of electric bicycles. You can try out the bikes on the grass in the park, and then also on the Foreshore pathway so that you can get a better feel on a sealed surface. See which sort of bike suits you the best, and compare notes with other riders.
There will also be a range of displays and activities for e-bike owners and riders.
Come along and find out what the fuss about electric bikes is all about!
p.s.
Current e-bike owners are invited to join us on a short social ride from the city to the e-Bike Rally at Bellerive.
We’ll meet on the forecourt of the Bicycle Network Tasmania office, at 210 Collins Street, Hobart. We’ll ride easily through the city, joining the InterCity Cycleway, crossing the bridge (on the footpath), and riding through Bellerive to end up at the Bellerive Oval.
There will be a small charge of $5 to help us to cover costs.
Please arrive by 10.15am so that we can make sure everyone is registered and for the pre-ride briefing.
