“We have so much to offer as a State and that has been recognised by Lonely Planet.

“It’s great to see Tasmania being promoted internationally for all the right reasons.

“The spin offs for Tasmania’s economy and jobs will be enormous.

“Lonely Planet wields enormous influence across the globe and is seen by many as the ‘travel bible’.

“To be ranked so highly by Lonely Planet as a must-see region in the world speaks volumes for the innovation, hard work and passion that exists in Tasmania’s tourism sector

“The challenge now is to capitalise on those opportunities.”
