Tenders have been called to provide maintenance services for Tasmanian Government schools around the State.
Advertisements for tenders for a fire services maintenance contract and a roofing services maintenance contract for Department of Education facilities were published in the State’s three daily newspapers today.
Both contracts will be awarded for five years from early 2015.
Importantly, both are about ensuring our students, teachers and the wider community have safe learning environments.
The successful fire services maintenance contractor will be responsible for ensuring fire equipment at schools and other facilities have are regularly serviced.
While the specialist roofing contractor will be responsible for not only a program of roof maintenance, but also scheduled upgrading of roofing.
Pre-tender briefing sessions will be held on September 25, and tenders will close at 2pm on October 31.
