B-BOYS BREAK IT DOWN IN BRISBANE STREET
Junction Arts Festival’s Cypher: a hip-hop and urban dance spectacle at 10am Wed 10 Sept
LAUNCESTON, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE— Australia’s best break dancers and b-boys will showcase their stuff as they break it down at Brisbane Street Mall at 10am tomorrow Wednesday 10 September, 2014.
Led by Nick Power (Sydney) his crew will come together and showcase a sample of the gravity-defying tricks synonymous with break dancing: handstands, backflips, headstands and more!
Its namesake – cypher – refers to the circle or ring that is formed during dance battles. Creating a makeshift stage, those who dare to, can enter the centre of the ring and strut their stuff.
During the Festival, Cypher will be held at Launceston College Dance Studio from Thursday 11 – Sunday 14 September, 2014.
Junction Arts Festival returns to energise Launceston, Tasmania from Wednesday 10 – Sunday 14 September, 2014 with five days of unexpected art adventures weaving through the city. From a lightning-fast birthday party, to bands playing in suburban backyards and bicycle-powered karaoke machines, Junction Arts Festival offers intimate one-on-one encounters, high energy spectacles and an all manner of things in-between.
