Sorell Council redundancies ...? 4

Hag has been told of mass redundancies at Sorell Counil

My informant says at least 25 people were told by email that their services were no longer required.

Speculation is that there may be a merger planned between Sorell and Tasman Peninsula Council … thus leading to a “surplus to requirements situation”.

I’m told – and of course this may be completely wrong – that the current acting general manager of Sorell is also manager of Tasman.

Someone kindly confirm or deny?
