Get ready for a total eclipse of the art as The Falls Music & Arts Festival release their immensely diverse program for The Village! The line-up presents a labyrinth of performance-based art that continues to grow bigger every year, physically and metaphysically! With artists and installations from across Australia and the world, The Village is a space packed with an organised kind of chaos, loveable characters, enchanting music and charming surrounds. Spinning The Village into orbit at Lorne this year are 30 assorted performers and activities including hip-hop yoga sessions, biscuit readings, rockabilly bands, blues artists, 10 minute intensive dance parties, circus performers, carnival games, karaoke tournaments, fake jailhouse tattoo artists, magic shows, interpretive dance contests and more! THE FALLS FIESTA:
Back again at Falls this year is the one of the festival highlights, the Falls Fiesta! It’s an effervescent extravaganza on the last night of each event, which entails a colourful explosion of dancing and costumes with a huge parade designed to bring everyone together. Puppets and sculptures created throughout the art camps before and during the events lead the parade to party music. Everyone is welcome to get involved and be apart of something very special.
