Virtuosi Tasmania: Jazz Finale

Tasmania’s premier ensemble bringing chamber music to regional Tasmania.

A jazz finale brings our 2013 season to a close. Five of Tasmania’s top jazz musicians are set to bring you the sounds of the Modern Jazz Quartet – the MJQ – interspersed with vocal jazz favourites sung by Mia Palencia. We’ve called the concert:

Stephen Martin, double bass, will lead Tasmania’s most accomplished musicians, Dan Sulzberger, piano, Kelly Ottaway, vibraphone and Matt Ives, drums and Mia Palencia, vocals, will add vibrancy with songs such as Cheek to cheek, Blue Skies and more. Relax and enjoy jazz – chamber music of the modern times.
