Mayor Daryl Gerrity was one in a million, said former Liberal Senator and state Liberal candidate Guy Barnett today.

“Daryl was a mouth piece for the west coast and an icon for Tasmania. He called a spade a spade and got the job done.

It was a pleasure working with Mayor Gerrity. We sometimes worked as a team but always in the best interests of the west coast.

We worked together on the west coast wilderness railway, better health services, especially to save the Rosebery hospital, for clean water and other issues.

My condolences to Robyn and his family” Mr Barnett said.
