The Tasmanian arm of household goods rental company Radio Rentals has once again achieved national recognition for outstanding growth and customer service with the Devonport/Burnie and Hobart stores both named ‘Store of the Year’ runners up, and two managers for the region nominated for ‘Manager of the Year’ at the annual awards ceremony held last week.

The two stores beat over 80 other company stores across Australia to claim the top spots after experiencing another bumper year.

This is the second year in a row the Devonport/Burnie store has been credited with retail excellence, after they took out the top spot in 2012. Martin Burns, Store Manager of the Devonport/Burnie operation is quick to deflect any praise onto his team who he credits with their ongoing success.

Victor Edwards, who has been named top Regional manager twice in consecutive years, will receive a once in a lifetime trip around the world. In addition, Hobart Store Manager Luke Christie has won a trip around Australia in recognition of his commitment to the company.

Crediting the success of the region to his dedicated team, Victor says, “The benefit of a close knit, highly capable team has meant that setting goals and achieving them go hand in hand. Our team believe in themselves and are dedicated to achieving our common aims, which now includes making our success a habit. It’s an honour to work with such a consistent and focussed team.Our success is a testament to pure persistence and teamwork. We look forward to being in the same position next year.”

On winning the trip around Australia, Luke says, “It was definitely a nice surprise to be recognised for the work we do. It’s important for us to be achieving, but it’s also great to be rewarded for a job well done.”
