Friends of the Hagley farm school-special meeting 1 August 2013

A special meeting of the Friends of the Hagley farm school will be held on Thursday 1 August 7pm at the Hagley farm school. Guest speaker will be Ben Stockwin Chief executive of the Primary Industries Education Foundation.

“It is important that students, past students and the public have an opportunity to express support. We plan to avoid any risk of closure of the school farm by the state Government”, Mr Guy Barnett Hagley farm school old boy and State Liberal candidate for Lyons said on behalf of the group.

The objective of the group is to ensure the ongoing viability and sustainability of the Hagley school farm and environment centre and its status as an educational icon for Tasmania.

The Friends group executive includes Guy Barnett, Robert Dent, Tony Clarke and other friends of the school. It is supported by the school association and others.
