This Saturday, 20th April, Tasmanians made a stand against sexual violence in our communities.

Women, men and children gathered in Salamanca in a show of solidarity to victims of rape and sexual abuse, and in response to recent decisions in the courts.

The concerned citizens, among them rape victims, held silent vigil against rape culture, in a peaceful and respectful action. The organisers aimed to engage Salamanca Market goers to challenge their ideologies about rape and it was dedicated to rape victims and anyone who believes in a world without sexual violence.
