Integrating all the best elements of bluegrass, Irish and American folk traditions, One Step Back are Mike Cole, Graeme Kirkwood, Duncan Kirkwood, and Richard Arnold.

These talented musicians will be performing a one hour set at the Moonah Arts Centre on Friday the 30th March, kicking off the Centre’s annual concert program.

One Step Back are recognized for their cleverly arranged and tightly presented extensive repertoire of bluegrass and country music. They regularly perform around Hobart at venues such as the Lark Distillery and New Sydney Hotel, and further south at the Longley Hotel and Brookfield Vineyard (Margate).

One Step Back have performed at all the major Tasmanian folk festivals and events in recent years, notable appearances including Franklin Apple Harvest Festivals from 2003-2005, Cygnet Folk festivals 2003-5 and 2007-9, Tamar Valley Folk festival 2007, Taste of Huon 2006 and 2009, Australian Wooden Boat festival 2007 and 2009, Taste of Tasmania 2006, 2008 and 2009, Koonya Acoustic Roots Festival 2009,10 and the Richmond Bluegrass Shindig in 2010. The highlight in 2011 for One Step Back has been to perform on each of the 4 days of the Australian Wooden Boat Show. They were enthusiastically received by large and appreciative audiences.
