Christmas Brings Community Together

Every year hundreds of people from all walks of life gather in Princes Square to celebrate Christmas.

City Baptist Church’s free community barbeque and carols evening is open to the whole community – and especially to those who ‘live rough’.

The huge barbeque commences from 6pm on Saturday 10 December.

After a good feed, free music and community games for children, carols will be sung as part of a dynamic program inside the historic City Baptist Church building over the road.

Former drug addict Darren Stokes from Missiondale will share how his life has been transformed in recent years and the Choir of High Hopes and the Classique Dance Centre will perform.

To round off a huge evening a community supper will be put on in the adjacent Milton Hall.

City Baptist Church has a serving presence amongst those who live rough in Launceston.
