EDUCATION and Skills Minister Nick McKim has opened the way for a resurrection of TAFE under a review of the state’s vocational sector.
Mr McKim today said former Victorian TAFE boss Virginia Simmons would run the review, with a report due to the Tasmanian Government by April.
The review in part was to take advantage of a national review of the training sector.
He said he acknowledged the post-year 10 sector was change-weary.
The Greens took a platform of rolling back the failed Tasmania Tomorrow reforms to the last election.
