The dangers of Glyphosate in the environment 4

Dear Ministers,

This presentation (Download below) contains very important information. The information on the DAFF website from the ASCHEM Council (chair Rod Andrewartha Chief Veterinary Officer, Tas [DPIPWE]) re their non support of the APVMA safety assessment for pesticides used currently, such as atrazine, is also very pertinent.

Gylphosate is the most widely used pesticide in Tasmania in all facets of life (urban and rural) in Tasmania.

This was a perplexing decision by ASCHEM, as most water in Tasmania is drinking water as well as being multiple use environmental, aquaculture and agricultural water.

On the basis of what current science/ underlying principle did ASCHEM make this decision?

On the basis of what current science/ underlying principles did APVMA and DPIPWE allow the ongoing current registration of atrazine and related triazines?
