I am a candidate for the Launceston City Council. Throughout my campaigning for the upcoming elections I have spoken with many residents who have shared their concerns with me over the drastic cuts to the health budget this year in Tasmania.
The loss of jobs, reduction in medical procedures and closure of various beds and wards have all been topics of interest.
In response to this concern I have begun circulating a petition to the Prime Minister and Federal Health Minister asking for their temporary intervention and support for both finances and governance.
