When your office has two big wheels at the back and two small ones at the front, you need smart communications to keep tabs on the market and for the market to keep tabs on you.
The Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association today launched a new website (www.tfga.com.au). It will be the hub of what is happening in agriculture in Tasmania.
“It used to be that when you wanted to find out what was happening on Tasmanian farms, you collected the mail and the paper from an upturned milk churn at the farm gate and put them aside to read at night,” TFGA chief executive Jan Davis said today.
“Today our farmers use smartphones to keep up to date while they work and to tell us what is happening on their patch.
“As we all know, information is king. With the new website, no sooner will we hear about it at the TFGA then it will be on the web for all to see.”
The website is a one-stop shop for all aspects of the TFGA business. It provides a key database of contacts within the industry.
The new website is the keystone of the TFGA information platform that includes Facebook, e-mail of daily press releases, FastNews for regular news feeds by e-mail and its award-winning VOICE magazine.
The site was designed by zest.
