Public invited to have a stab at fencing
Leading fencing club opens its doors to the community
Van Diemen Fencing Club is holding its official launch this evening from 6pm until 8pm at the Glenorchy YMCA, 8a Constance Ave, Glenorchy.
The public and media are invited to attend the launch and have a go at the sport, ask questions and watch pros in action.
Van Diemen Fencing Club is run by coach Avril Holderness-Roddam. A fencer of ten years with experience training and competing nationally and over seas. The club is based on European models and offers classes and training for ages five and over.
The launch comes ahead of the club’s beginner courses commencing July 9th and 11th.
