Summer Music In Tolosa Park 2011

Summer Music In Tolosa Park 2011 is a series of free summer music events in beautiful Tolosa Park, Glenorchy. Indulge each weekend from January 30th to the end of February with a weekend music concert in one of Tasmania’s best loved outdoor music venues.

The program kicks off this Australia Day, January 26th with a host of young contemporary rock musicians taking to the soundshell stage as part of the inaugural Telstra School of Rock concert. This 90 minute concert will feature a swag of Tasmania’s up and coming rock musicians mentored by of one of Tasmania’s leading music educators and guitarists, Greg Souter. 12:30 to 3pm, Wednesday 26th January, – FREE

Summer Music In Tolosa Park 2011 continues on Sunday January 30th with Jazz in the Park. Presented by the Hobart Jazz Club, patrons can enjoy sets from some of the finest local jazz groups , including the The Jazz Executives, Baileys Blokes, the Ian Pearce Quartet, and the Matthew Ives Big Band. Patrons are invited to pack a picnic, stretch out on the Soundshell lawn, enjoy the sunshine with some cool, cool, jazz. Noon to 4pm Sunday the 30th January, – FREE
