Kate Holden, former prostitute and heroin addict talks about her latest memoir The Romantic, 2pm Fullers Bookshop, Sunday October 31

Kate Holden, writer, columnist for The Age, published author and former sex worker and heroin addict will be at Fullers Bookshop on Sunday, October 31st at 2pm to talk about her latest memoir The Romantic.

Kate’s first book In My Skin was a frank and lucid account of her slide in to addiction and time spent working on the streets in St Kilda and in Melbourne brothels.

The Romantic examines her travels in Italy once she had finally kicked heroin and the travails as she encounters life straight, for the first time in half a decade.

Kate, who writes a column for The Age newspaper is generous and honest in her accounts of her lives.
