Heather Rose launches Nick Glade-Wright’s novel Growing Sideways Fullers Bookshop, Friday 13th August, 6pm

Heather Rose, one of Tasmania’s best known authors will launch Nick Glade-Wright’s first novel, Growing Sideways at Fullers Bookshop this coming Friday 13th at 6pm.

Nick Glade-Wright is a well known artist and musician and his first novel is a coming of age story about a young man moving away from his parents to the comparative big smoke of Hobart in the seventies.

Mal, the protagonist, forms an unlikely friendship with an immigrant beekeeper, struggles with a revolting sharehouse, quirky friends and a hedonistic art fuelled life.

Heather Rose’s most recent novel ‘The River Wife has recently been read on Radio National’s Book Readings.

This event is sure to bring together Hobart’s vibrant artistic community – as Nick is a renowned painter and has also played in various world music bands.

Nick will be available for interview and there will be photo opportunities.
