A human shield in Iraq

High profile peace activist, Donna Mulhearn, talks about her experiences as a human shield in Iraq at Fullers Bookshop, Tuesday, August 24th at 6pm

Donna Mulhearn will be at Fullers Bookshop to talk about her experience as a high profile peace activist and her book Ordinary Courage on Tuesday, August 24th at 6pm.

In 2003 Donna heard a call to action that would change her life forever and she flew from Sydney to Baghdad to become a human shield to deter the ‘Coalition of the Willing’ from attacking Baghdad.

Donna’s story, of life as a disillusioned journalist and political adviser and her move in to activism is exceptional. The book is full of bravery and, despite the title of the book, no ordinary courage.

Well known expat Australian political activist, John Pilger, has said of her book “in this powerful memoir, Donna Mulhearn’s courage and principles stand in damning contrast to the lies told in our name. I salute her.”

All are welcome to attend this free event.
