Greens Leader Nick McKim MP said that he and Premier David Bartlett went for a bike ride on the Pipeline Track on Mt Wellington this morning.
Mr McKim said that Mr Bartlett had rung him late yesterday afternoon and suggested the ride.
“We have both said that we want to restore trust, and the ride was a great way to begin that process.”
“We talked about Tasmania’s future, which we are both very optimistic about, and had an enjoyable ride on a fantastic track.”
“Getting on the bikes was a great idea. We both love riding, and it gave us the chance to spend some time with each other in an informal setting.”
Mr McKim said that there were no deals or agreements made, and that he understands that Mr Bartlett will also issue a statement today.
Mr McKim will not be available for any further comment today.
