John Ramsey and I are in dialogue regarding protecting the ‘reputational risk’ of the laboratories Alison and I have used. He has advised me that he understands my concerns and has sought further advice from the panel.
The laboratories have clients both in and out of Tasmania and their integrity is fundamental to their viability as businesses. It is also fundamental to their clients. It is for this reason that the two step process was proposed to John Ramsay – of the data being reviewed by Graeme Batley’s team at CSIRO and the panel then deciding what steps to take.
John Ramsey appears to me to be a reasonable man and the members of the panel that are known to me are people I respect.
Please let us sort these issues out so we can get on with the second problem of “What does this mean to Tasmania?”.
