A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS FOR MICHELLE O’BYRNE
Bass Independent Candidate Jim Collier has two questions for State Environment Minister Michelle O’Byrne:
1. Would the Environment Minister confirm or deny the rumour currently circulating that the state government is applying pressure to NRM North to hold back the release of the Tamar Estuary and Esk Rivers Programme report until after the 20th March election as it contains information reflecting badly on catchment management practices by the forest industry the revelations of which could reflect negatively on Labor’s electoral prospects?
The TEER Programme report was due to be released in July or August LAST YEAR according to NRM North’s Chief Executive Officer James McKee in a letter published in The Examiner on 12th June last year and …we are still waiting!
2. Would Michelle O’Byrne advise how much longer the community has to wait for the release of Labor’s policies on the Tamar River?
