Tas Labor drops to 23pc in latest poll
A new opinion poll suggests Tasmania is heading towards a hung parliament at next month’s state election.
The Labor Government has spent millions since its poor showing in the last EMRS poll in November.
But today’s poll of one thousand voters, taken last week, is even worse, with Labor support dropping from 26 per cent to 23.
That is equal with a growing undecided vote that will determine whether any party wins majority government.
The Opposition took the biggest hit, with support falling from 37 per cent to 30, while the Greens are only one point behind Labor, having improved their position from 17 to 22 per cent.
In the preferred Premier stakes Opposition Leader Will Hodgman remains in front, but his support fell while that of Premier David Bartlett and Greens Leader Nick McKim grew.
