THE Labor Party has already taken off its gloves in the fledgling Tasmanian election campaign, launching a nasty “spoiler” website.
The website is solely aimed at discrediting the Liberal Opposition.
Signalling that the looming five-week campaign will as dirty and ugly as has been predicted, Labor Party state secretary John Dowling launched the trick website just three hours after Premier David Bartlett called the March 20 election.
The website, www.liberalsrealchange.com, plays on the Tasmanian Liberals’ election campaign slogan promising real change.
In large black and red headlines, the website tells Tasmanians not to risk switching their vote to the Liberals.
