THE federal Labor members for Braddon and Lyons, Sid Sidebottom and Dick Adams, along with Labor senators, have been asked to explain what action their Government has taken for the paper mill workers told their jobs will be gone by the end of March.
“Mr Sidebottom told the media this morning the Rudd Government had done everything it could for those workers,’’ Liberal Senator Stephen Parry said.
“If that is the case, I am sure the workers, their families and the wider community would like to know in detail what Mr Adams, Mr Sidebottom and their Labor senate colleagues have done.
“They are in Government, they have the ear of the Prime Minister, so let’s hear what action they took for the hundreds of Tasmanian workers now set to lose their jobs.’’
