McCain developments

Jeremy Rockliff said:

It is extremely disappointing that the Premier has chosen to politicise this issue by deliberately locking the Opposition out of the process.

Nonetheless, we wish the Premier well in his meeting with McCain management on Friday.

If the Premier succeeds in getting McCain to keep the plant open, I will be the first to congratulate him.

Brett Whiteley said:

Today we met with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Circular Head, as well as farmers and community representatives.

The message we received loud and clear today was the people don’t want the type of politicking that the Premier and Bryan Green have brought to the issue.

This crisis should be above politics and a united front from all politicians will give us the best chance of a positive outcome.
