Bartlett must personally meet with teachers

If David Bartlett is serious about the interests of students and avoiding teacher strike action, he would immediately seek a personal meeting with teachers and their representatives.

By continuing to attack teachers and their representatives as he did today, and sending a departmental representative to meet with them, rather than himself, Mr Bartlett has demonstrated he is not interested in resolving this issue.

The Tasmanian Tomorrow experiment is demonstrably failing Tasmanian students.

Rather than charging on with a flawed system, the Premier should swallow his pride, put students first, and place an immediate moratorium on any new Colleges joining his failed experiment.
Will Hodgman MP Leader of the State Opposition
