Following the release of Gunns ‘Little Green Book’, The Forest Art Renaissance Team (F.A.R.T.) has today unveiled the banner “Gunns LTD, Proudly changing your climate” on the façade of the Jetty Surf shop on Liverpool St Hobart to highlight the smelly PR stunt being undertaken by Gunns.
“People need to realise that the destruction of our old growth forests for woodchips will mean warmer temperatures, higher sea levels and the accompanying increase in surf clothing” said a spokesperson for F.A.R.T.
The makers of this book are obviously trying to dumb down the public with its cartoon like appearance and complete lack of factual information about the industrial scale destruction of native forests and its impacts on the environment. The F.A.R.T.’s objective is to show the public that Gunns spin is only adding more noxious gases to our already clogged atmosphere.
“Gunns ‘Little Green Book’ is a steaming pile of crap that is totally on the nose and gives the F.A.R.T.’s actions the smell of roses. To try and disguise their woodchipping of ancient carbon dense forests as being good for climate change is the latest and greatest in greenwashing from this out of control company” said the spokesperson for F.A.R.T.
The F.A.R.T remains committed to its principal of being silent but non-violent in its pursuit of informing the public about the real truths of the forestry debate.
