David Bartlett must today reveal whether the Tasmania Tomorrow CEOs have prepared a document or report providing updated information on active enrolments.
Asked about the existence of the document in Parliament today, Mr Bartlett didn’t deny its existence, only saying that he hadn’t seen it, or indeed any numbers since the start of the Tasmania Tomorrow debate, which is worrying enough in of itself.
The State Opposition understands that the head of the Academy, Mr Mike Brakey, recently briefed stakeholders on the March and August figures using this document – so one would assume the information can be easily accessed by the Premier.
We look forward to the release of the fully-audited attendance figures, but in the meantime, if the Government has updated data, it should be released.
If David Bartlett is so convinced his post year-10 educational reforms are working for students, what has he got to hide?
Mr Bartlett must confirm whether the report exists, and if it does, release it.
