I hope no one is buying the summary dismissal of Geraldine’s claims by those in high Tasmanian office. I have similarly observed extraordinary levels of flagrant governmental corruption in Tasmania, much of it in branches other than the ones she cites, and know the frustration of watching regulatory bodies continually ranks close in defence of gross malfeasance. The rot is so deep, entrenched, and pervasive that it is unimaginable that it would ever be addressed by current Tasmanian officialdom. An effective ICAC is a matter of survival for this state.
