The Hobart City Council wants to know what people think about improved access to the Battery Point foreshore. To have your say, you have until Friday 17th April.

The news was buried in a brief story in the Mercury on page 34 on March 25th. Since then, it’s appeared in the April issue of Capital City News, on page 2. And Battery Point residents have been letter-boxed (unless they have an Australia Post only sticker on their boxes).

The public consultation process is being conducted on behalf of the HCC by Corporate Communications (Tasmania) Pty Ltd. Corporate Communications produced the brochure – t’s a good one and is available from the HCC.

Three types of possible foreshore tracks have been illustrated in the brochure: an elevated boardwalk, a path on top of a rock retaining wall (revetment), and a scramble track.

To have your say on the options identified, you can:

1. Post written comments to: Freepost 1600, GPO Hobart, TAS 7001.

2. Email comments to: [email protected]

3. Comment via the website: www.hobartcity.com.au/batterypointconsultation
