    If the trees are to be used as pulp, you don’t need to spike them (which could put workers at risk). You can inject them with anything that will bugger up the pulp, from graphite (makes the pulp black) to plastics (ugly colourings in pulp).

    It won’t take much of that to slow down the mill.
