This bypass is not being constructed to service the increased log truck movement in anticipation of the construction of the Gunns Pulp Mill and that notion is both erroneous and grossly unfair. Very Clearly if a mill was to be built the additional log trucks servicing this area would have a safer route.

I think the whole section of road to be bypassed is, or could be, defined as a black spot. Read more, Comment here
