Sea Shepherd returning to Hobart mid January
SEA Shepherd’s ship, the Steve Irwin has been the lone presence this year in the Southern Ocean, off the coast of Antarctica, trying to stop the Japanese whaling fleet from killing nearly 1000 whales.
We have intercepted and confronted their fleet several times, and have stopped them from killing whales by chasing them hundreds of miles. We need to return to Hobart to re-fuel and re-provision for the second leg of our trip and anticipate arriving on or near the 16th January, and being there for several days.
We have quite specific food requirements as we have limited space and fulfilled much of our grocery requirements before leaving Australia. All food must be vegan (no animal products of any kind). Primarily we require fresh produce.
If you can help with bulk amounts of any fruit or veg please contact Angeline at the contacts below for a full inventory list.
We also require: White flour (50kg) – white sugar (50kg) – soy sauce – sweet soy sauce – maple syrup – frozen pastry – juice and soft drink – olive oil (25L) – vegetable oil (50L) – tinned kidney beans and chick peas – tinned tomatoes – hash browns – Braggs – coconut cream – apple cider vinegar – tofutti fake ‘sour cream’ & ‘cream cheese’ – tofu (silken and other)
