Can I tell you guys down there from a guy up here in London England that you have some of the most amazing trees and ecosystems on the planet and they deserve to be protected, not logged for under $15 a tonne. We destroyed our great forests in Europe hundreds of years ago. Some of the wood made it into ships to ‘discover’ the new worlds. It seams that since you guys got of the boats you have been trying to reduce your paradise lands to an arid dust bowl. Absolute madness. I may return to Tasmania again but it won’t be to look at your new roads or buildings. It will be to marvel at the magnificent and virgin ecosystems unless they are descimated beyond recognition. I believe after seeing what a joke your national parks and tourist attractions are, that Tasmanaia could if the population are brave enough, become a shining example of a state that has reinvented its traditional sawlog and speciality timber industries alongside its eco tourism industry. As an outsider looking in it is obvious that one day when you wake up to what the rich and powerful have done to your island you will have missed an opportunity that you will never have again to make Tasmania a beacon to what can be achieved. Thanks and good luck. Read more, Comment here
