The Tasmanian Liberals oppose a new hospital being built on the Hobart waterfront.
The Leader of the State Opposition, Will Hodgman, has again called on the government to abandon its expensive taxpayer funded folly of building a new $1 billion hospital on the railyards site.
“The waterfront is the wrong site for a new hospital for many reasons,” Mr Hodgman said.
“That the government is continuing to pursue its waterfront hospital plan demonstrates how incompetent and out of touch the Labor Party has become after ten years in office.
“Labor’s waterfront hospital plan must be stopped, before the government commits Tasmania to a massive mistake that future generations will pay for.
“The Tasmanian Liberals will continue to fight Labor’s flawed waterfront hospital plan.”
