THE State Government’s push to build a new hospital on the Hobart waterfront received more criticism yesterday. Most speakers at a Glenorchy forum suggested a greenfield site was a better option than the Hobart railyards or backed redeveloping facilities on the existing inner-city site. And the Glenorchy City Council launched a major petition against the railyards plan. Professor John Hunn, former director of surgery at the Royal Hobart Hospital, listed pros and cons for the two sites that underpinned the need for a greenfield site. Read more here
