PIRI at best is a blunt tool targeted at self regulation. One of the best kept secrets in Tasmania is the types and quantities of pesticides that are being used in the State. It is my opinion that this initiative was designed by the Government to protect in particular the Plantation Industry and continues to pull the wool over Tasmanians eyes in relation to pesticide usage in this State.
