One of the most confronting things a woman can discover is a breast lump. It can mean the start of a roller coaster ride of examinations and treatment as well as the emotional toll it could be a big impost on the home budget. As Tasmania is the only State that doesn’t provide bulk-billed diagnostic mammography. For some women, the cost of testing makes it a difficult option and a State Government election promise to provide free diagnostic tests is yet to be fulfilled.
