Ask CSIRO, they issued a paper cautioning on the use of these and endocrine disruptors. And the unborn and young child are the most susceptible to their harmful adverse effects. Other rivers in Tasmania are even in a worse state. Catchment approches are completely unacceptable as they are, and with the changing weather patterns – drier summers and more “dumps” rather than longer wet periods – especially in the East of Tasmania, these pesticide practices and lack of catchment protection must not and cannot continue.
